Monarch Caterpillar on Milkweed

Monarch Caterpillar
The photo I mentioned yesterday. An unexpected bonus on review as there is an egg visible on the top right leaf near the stem. White dot. The caterpillar looks large enough to be moving off the plant soon and hopefully there will be enough plant left to support a few more caterpillars.

Going to be taking a break from the photoblog this winter. It's been over a year since I last took an extended break. I need it, but I'm very sad to be taking it too. I need to focus on other things for a while as there is a lot going on. Massive changes and I'm not ready to blog about them or let alone show you in photos. Don't fret, I'm fine.

Hopefully I'll have things under control by spring and I'll resume posting the daily shots. I will be active from time to time on my Flickr account so look there for photos but not anytime soon. I'll be available online and might post a photo for a meme occasionally, but I do need my focus to be elsewhere for a while.

Handing the Feline Friday meme off to the participants this Friday. Round Robin is also something I'll continue with but not for the current railroads challenge. In a week or so I'll turn comments off here so I won't need to clean up spam comments. I'm on break.

I'll be back in the spring with a new template, lots of photos, new sights and if I shoot video, new sounds.

I think extended breaks are good for the long haul blogger. Another blogger I follow takes the summer off. I've never done anything official but I am really tempted to start.

May you sail smoothly through your massive changes. Take Care!

I hope whatever you are going to be busy with is a -Happy- busy! We will still be here when you return, and so that I won't have total Steven photo withdrawal, I just popped over to Flickr and added you as a contact. I haven't been using my Flickr account, I have a plan for it that will hopefully come together soon LOL!, but I will try to pop over there more often to check on you.

I like the catapillar taking on a little shade, he's almost unnoticeable working away in the shadows :)

See you in the Spring.

I'll miss stopping by to admire your beautiful photos, Steven! I hope all your changes turn out for the best, and I'll be watching for your return.
