Bumble Bee on Yellow Cosmos

Bumble Bee
Not a butterfly in sight so I concentrated on the bumble bees. The all black bumble bees are very aggressive but the ones with yellow on them are fairly tolerant of a spectator. There were several bumbles working the blooms so as soon as one shot would conclude, I'd frame up on the next. Easy compared to a butterfly.

If the sunshine holds I might nail some in flight shots. I tried some today but I was framed too tight and when I did get the flying bee in frame it had flown out of the focus area. I need to increase my depth of field, back off a bit and maybe use ISO 100 to keep a swift shutter.

Of course I won't try if the all black bumble bees return. Not much fun photographing a bee flying at me!
