Skipper Butterfly

Skipper Butterfly
I photographed this little skipper butterfly last Saturday. Poor thing had a broken wing so I placed it on the tall grass where I've photographed an anole lizard. I watched for a while but the anole never made an appearance. Anoles love skipper butterflies!

Surfing around earlier I found some neat photos of a rainbow with lightning. Not a lot of information about the photos except that they were taken in Arkansas. Was going to share that on Netscape News but I'll take a pass as I'm slightly annoyed at the frontpage flame baiting going on there.

The way Netscape News works is you submit a link, news or other, and people can then rate or comment. Tons of categories to submit into, but the front page lately seems to distract from the rest of the site. Take this story currently on the front page of Netscape. It's flame bait as the comments out number the votes three to one. The story is cold but the comments are hot.

Back to the photo. I've never had any success trying bait an anole lizard into feeding for the camera. Bait should work but I've done this often enough to know that when I place the bait, I scare the lizard off. Some critters like to hunt I guess.
