Monday Photo Shoot
My first photo of 2006 for the Monday photo shoot. A bit late in getting the photo uploaded as I'm still processing the holiday photos. This is the second monarch chrysalis I've been watching. The first one is located here. In two to three weeks both should transform into monarch butterflies.
I'm on chrysalis watch once again!

What a beautiful photo of the monarch chrysalis... I'm thinking you may be just the person to help me. I've posted a picture of a lovely caterpillar a student brought to me back in september. I'm not sure, but I think it is a luna moth... it began cocooning over night, and now it is in the cocoon, and I don't know when it will emerge. Can you help me? How long do they stay in the cocoon? I know til spring. But is there a specific number of days? Come visit my site anytime. Bea
